Terms of Use

Effective October 2, 2026

These Terms of Use cover your use of PassFEPE, the website and app at passfepe.com ("PassFEPE", "we", "us").

1. Accepting these terms

By using PassFEPE, with or without an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use PassFEPE.

2. What PassFEPE is

PassFEPE is a study tool for practicing problems for the NCEES FE and PE engineering exams. You can work problems, take timed practice exams, review worked solutions, track your progress, and open reference handbook PDFs you add yourself.

Practice runs in your web browser. Your study data is stored on your device and also copied to your account so you can use it on another device. The Privacy Policy explains this in detail.

We add, change and remove problems and features over time. Some exams may have few or no problems yet. We don't promise that any particular exam, topic, problem or feature will be available.

3. Who can use PassFEPE

You must be at least 13 years old to use PassFEPE. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms for you.

You must also be allowed to use the service under the laws that apply to you.

4. Your account

You need an account to practice on PassFEPE. You can create one with a name, email address and password, or sign in with Google.

  • Give us an email address you control. If you sign up with an email and password, you must confirm your email address before you can sign in.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Tell us at contact@passfepe.com if you think someone else has used your account.
  • One account is for one person. Don't share it or create accounts for other people without their permission.

If you sign in with Google, Google's terms and privacy policy also apply to your Google account. We aren't responsible for Google's services.

Signing out ends your session on the current device only. You stay signed in on your other devices.

5. Plans and payment

Without a plan, you can open the first 5 problems you are given on your chosen exam, as often as you like. Every other problem and the exam simulator need a paid plan.

  • Plans. $49 for 1 month, or $99 for 3 months, in US dollars, plus any tax that applies. You see the price and the length before you pay.
  • Automatic renewal. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each period, for the same length and at the same price, and the payment method you used is charged then, until you cancel.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel any time in Settings > Billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, including for part of a period, except where the law requires otherwise.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, our payment provider tries again for a while. If it keeps failing, your plan ends.
  • Price changes. If we change the price of a plan, we'll tell you before the new price applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your full card number. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy also apply to your payment.
  • Deleting your account does not cancel a plan by itself, so an account whose plan will still renew can't be deleted. Cancel it in Settings > Billing first, or ask us to cancel it when you ask us to delete your account.

6. Acceptable use

Use PassFEPE for your own exam preparation. Please don't:

  • Copy, scrape, republish, sell or share our problems, solutions or other content, download them in bulk other than through the app's normal use, or use them to build a competing product or train a model.
  • Try to access another person's account or data, or get around access controls.
  • Interfere with the service, overload it, or probe it for weaknesses without our written permission.
  • Create accounts with automated tools, or use false information to create an account.
  • Add or use files you don't have the right to use.
  • Create, generate, upload or share sexually explicit content, pornography or non-consensual intimate imagery, including AI-generated imagery. PassFEPE prohibits all of it.
  • Use PassFEPE to break any law.

7. Who owns what

Our content. The practice problems, solutions, explanations, software, design and branding in PassFEPE belong to PassFEPE or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable permission to use them for your own non-commercial study while you follow these terms. Nothing else is licensed to you.

Your study data. Your answers, results, bookmarks and settings are yours. If you sign in, you let us store, copy and process that data only as needed to run PassFEPE for you, for example to sync it between your devices.

Files you add. Reference handbook PDFs you add are stored on your device and are not uploaded to us. You keep whatever rights you have in them, and we get no rights to them. You are responsible for having the right to use any file you add.

Feedback. If you send us suggestions or error reports, we may use them to improve PassFEPE without owing you anything.

8. NCEES

  • PassFEPE is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by NCEES. NCEES is a trademark of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. We use "NCEES", "FE" and "PE" only to describe the exams PassFEPE helps you study for. Other names and marks belong to their owners.
  • The practice problems in PassFEPE were written for this app. They are not NCEES exam questions or NCEES material.
  • NCEES does not publish a passing score. Nothing in PassFEPE, including scores, percentages, progress charts or study plans, is a prediction that you will pass or fail an exam.
  • NCEES reference handbooks are copyrighted by NCEES. PassFEPE does not provide or distribute them. If you add a handbook to PassFEPE, you are responsible for having obtained it legitimately and having the right to use it.

Always check exam rules, content, formats and reference materials with NCEES directly.

9. No guarantee of exam results

PassFEPE is a study aid. We don't guarantee that you will pass any exam, get any score, or get licensed. Your results depend on many things we don't control.

We try to make problems and solutions accurate, but they may contain mistakes. Don't rely on PassFEPE for engineering work, professional advice or real-world design decisions. If you find an error, please tell us at contact@passfepe.com.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

PassFEPE is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

We don't promise that PassFEPE will always be available, work without errors, or keep your data. Your study data lives in your browser's storage, and browsers can clear it. If you rely on your history, sign in so it syncs.

Some places don't allow implied warranties to be excluded. Where that is the case, the exclusions above apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, PassFEPE and the people who work on it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, exam fees, missed exam dates or lost opportunities, arising from your use of PassFEPE or your inability to use it.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about PassFEPE is limited to the amount you paid us for PassFEPE in the 12 months before the claim.

Some places don't allow some of these limits. Where that is the case, these limits apply only as far as the law allows.

12. Claims caused by your use

If you break these terms or the law while using PassFEPE, or use a file you had no right to use, and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim, as far as the law allows.

13. Copyright complaints

If you believe something on PassFEPE infringes your copyright, email contact@passfepe.com with:

  • your contact details;
  • a description of the copyrighted work;
  • where the material is on PassFEPE (a link or enough detail to find it);
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and
  • your physical or electronic signature.

We will review notices and remove material where appropriate. Handbook PDFs you add stay on your device, and we cannot see or remove them.

14. Ending your use

You can stop using PassFEPE at any time. To delete your account and the data synced to it, use Settings > Account > Delete my account, or email us at contact@passfepe.com from the address on your account. Deleting your account removes it from our servers and clears it from the device you delete it on. It does not remove copies on your other devices. To remove those, clear this site's data in the browser settings on each one.

We may suspend or close your account, or limit your access, if you break these terms, if we need to protect PassFEPE or other users, or if we stop offering the service. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first.

Section 7 (except the permission to use our content) and sections 8 through 12, 16 and 17 continue to apply after your use ends.

15. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll try to give notice, for example on the site or by email if you have an account. If you keep using PassFEPE after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.

Changes to plan prices follow section 5.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about these terms or PassFEPE will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

17. Other terms

If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours as part of a sale or reorganization of PassFEPE. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about PassFEPE.
